The real-cost formula
Shelf price isn't the whole story. A cheaper store 25 km away may cost more once you factor in gas and time. Shelfbee ranks every result by:

+ drive time × $0.33 / min
Drive-time rate is based on a $20/hr opportunity cost. You can always switch to “Cheapest” or “Closest” sorting on the results page.

Is Shelfbee free?
Yes. Core price search is 100% free with no sign-up required. A premium tier with price alerts and multi-store trip planning is coming in the future.
How accurate are the prices?
Prices are scraped weekly every Friday morning, after Thursday flyer drops. We show the date each price was last verified on every result.
What if I find a price that's wrong?
Use the price-match button on any result to generate proof from the source flyer. If a price looks stale, reach out via the feedback link.
Do you cover cities outside the GTA?
Not yet. Shelfbee v1 is focused entirely on the Greater Toronto Area. Other cities are on the roadmap.
Does Shelfbee work with Costco?
Yes — Costco is included. Membership prices are shown clearly, and results are labeled so you always know when a membership is required.
